I wrote a custom, heavily thorough Documentation for my Car Paint Designer Plugin for Cinema 4D and Octane.
The plugin itself, while intuitive to use, can admittedly be a little overwhelming, with over 700 unique attributes to control.
The documentation is nicely color coded, scroll bar linked so you can quickly navigate back and forth from the index to you desired points, and they have picture references for when necessary.
Each subject is carefully written as to not be overly verbose, but also to remain as intuitive to the user as possible; catering to both low and high level users.
There's a custom Documentation page for each of the 3 types of Car Paint; Metallic, Matte, and Glossy, each explaining their own unique characteristics.
These Documentations can easily be accessed in the first menu of the plugin, by just hitting the Documentation / Help button, opening up the documentation page in your browser. This allows for users to potentially find the help they need in just the click of a button. This solves the problem of having many emails per week about people asking how to use a specific feature.
