I made this rig to perform quick turn around iterations on a client project, where the hand would have to realistically grasp a specific object. It needed to be realistically animated, which before the rig setup, would have taken much longer to iterate upon, and would cause problems when undoing animation.
Now, if the finger needs to be slightly adjust, it can all be done with 3 simple controls, and far fewer keyframes. This dramatically sped up the production process.
