I was tasked with delivering 4x Animation-Ready Characters within a weeks time frame. To avoid having to handle the same workflow 4 times over to actually meet the deadline, I came up with a new workflow, and developed an original Character Customization tool. This allowed me to basically build a base mesh, pose morphs, and assigning them to various parameters to rapidly change between the characters styles!
This solution allows you to very quickly hot swap different character elements, including after animation has begun; no need to reanimate a new character if the Producer wants a different character/style in their place, just hit a couple buttons, and done!
I also utilized some minor python to create certain presets, so you don't have to go through every single attribute to change the main characters, you can just hit the UI button, and it does it all for you! :)
